Where did you purchase that watch band? I have been wanting to buy one.
I got mine from eBay here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180896747084
I bought a similar looking strap, also from ebay — this one’s Polyurethane so very light (and looks like PVD coated alloy): http://www.ebay.com/itm/200871203825
How did you get the original watch strap off without damaging the watch?
Watch the video here which shows you how: http://www.spokenlikeageek.com/2013/02/27/removing-the-strap-from-a-pebble-watch/
Thanks for the video. I bought a new wrist band AAAAGES ago for my Pebble on eBay and have been wondering how it’ll look with the pebble since then. I believe I bought the same band as you, so it solves my question. 🙂
Once you’ve added the metallic strap, how do you remove it? I was able to easily remove the original strap because it was flexible. I can’t seem to get the metal strap off using the same process. Any tips?
To be honest I haven’t tried because I am happy with it and so it doesn’t need to come off but I did take it in to a repairers to have the strap adjusted and they took it off in order to make the change. It is possible that they have special tools so it might be worth taking it to a jewellers to see if they would remove it for you.
What does the width need to be?
Pebble uses a standard size (22mm) watch strap so any at this size should fit.
