Everyday Carry, as defined by wikipedia, are useful items that are consistently carried on person every day. It has become something of a movement with people showing off their own edc which, in many cases regrettably, seems to include a knife.
Always one to jump on a bandwagon when it is passing I thought that I would present to you my minimalist edc which you can see above and includes:
A couple of these items (Spooly and Mu) have been sourced from Kickstarter projects. I have to say that I wasn’t that complementary about the Spooly after a three year wait but actually it is pretty useful to be able to slip it into my pocket and know I always have a charger with me.
I added the Mu to the mix when I was travelling up to London and back by train last week and found that the only power was from a three pin socket rather than a USB. This meant that having the cable on its own isn’t any good so I needed an adaptor too.
I am a big fan of the Mu and have three different variants now – the original “classic”, an international USB and type-c chargers. The classic is perfect for stuffing in the pocket to ensure that I always have USB power wherever I am.
Speaking of Mu they have just launched yet another Kickstarter campaign for the latest version of their charger – a 63w dual USB C charger. With this you can simultaneously charge a laptop and smartphone/tablet. I am a backer again and look forward to getting mine when it is launched next year.
So that’s what fills my pockets when I am out and about, what about you?
